
Danny Potts is a professional videographer based in New York City who specializes in studio, documentary and brand oriented video creation. He believes film is the ultimate universal language and strives to have every frame of video tell a story.
Danny's expertise is in digital video production. He has intimate knowledge of multiple professional HD and ENG camera models. He is also well versed in the latest post production software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Color, Motion and etc.
Danny's career began in high school when he produced two award winning documentaries "Are You Game?" and "It's not about Sex". At a young age, he was able to understand the power film has to impact people in a way that no other form of media could. Danny realized that only video had the capabilities to transmit information and ideas in the closet way to how human beings experience the world around them, through visual and auditory process's. With this, he came to the conclusion that video is able to transcended culture, language and even distance to deliver a message.
In 2007, Danny was hired as a full time documentary filmmaker at YO-TV where he produced the award winning election documentary "Journeys Through the Red White and Blue". The documentary was screened at President Obama's inaguraional ball and in HBO's private theater.
In the following five years, Danny developed his studio (abilities/ technique) by working as a camera-man with the internationally broadcasted television station, The Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN), and as an independent videographer involved in production and post-production with multiple world renowned brands such as About.com, Linkedin, Ashford.com, Pod1.
Currently, Danny is a video producer with About.com.
